Timber rattlesnakes turning up across the valley

Timber rattlesnakes were recorded on 9 occasions in the past 90 days, with three observations in the first three weeks of September 2026.¹ The species occurs broadly across the region's limestone and dolomite valleys as the only rattlesnake species found in much of the northeastern United States, and is endemic to eastern North America.¹
