Hi, I posted these on iNaturalist. The trees that I identified were actually 15/16 American Chestnuts, the other 1/16 being Chinese, so they are tolerant to the blight. They were planted at this location in an effort to restore American Chestnuts to local landscapes. Your post is a little misleading, because it talks about them as a residual population, when it is more of a restoration effort. I just thought this would be useful information that you could add to your post. Your website looks really cool, keep up the great work.
