Our City Forest

Our City Forest is a San Jose nonprofit that has worked in urban forestry and environmental education in Silicon Valley since 1994, and its mission is to cultivate a green and healthy San Jose metropolis by engaging community members in the appreciation, protection, growth, and maintenance of the urban forest. Its programs provide free trees and shrubs to residents, grow drought-tolerant species at a community nursery and training center, offer certified arborist care and stewardship training for the first three years after planting, and deliver environmental education to schools and the community. The organization reports planting over 75,000 trees across San Jose with a 93 percent survival rate.
