Open Space Sausalito

Open Space Sausalito is a resident-led nonprofit in Sausalito, California that formed to buy and preserve the Saucelito Creek Wildlife Refuge, a two-acre habitat protected from development and closed to the public to avoid disturbance. It maintains the refuge and runs a native plant restoration project, with biologist monitoring documenting more than twenty bird species nesting on site and roughly 100 migrating species visiting each year. Deer, small mammals, coyote, and fox also use the property, which is watered by a perennial creek.
