Open Space Conservation Cooperative

The Open-Space Conservation Cooperative works to close the gap between the growing amount of publicly owned open space in New Jersey and the long-term land management those properties need. It evaluates under-managed public lands and carries out conservation planning, forestry management, habitat restoration, invasive species control, and riparian buffer work, with priorities including water quality, soil health, and wildlife habitat. Administered by the Freehold Soil Conservation District in Freehold, it partners with municipal, county, and state landowners on projects such as Davidson Mill Pond Park and the Ireland Brook Conservation Area.
