Oconee River Land Trust Inc

The Oconee River Land Trust partners with landowners and local governments to conserve natural forests, wetlands, and working farms and forests along Georgia's rivers, streams, and wetlands. Founded in 1993 to protect land along the North and Middle Oconee Rivers near Athens, it works primarily through permanent conservation easements. It now holds 231 easements covering more than 45,000 acres across 53 Georgia counties and two counties in South Carolina.
