The Ocmulgee Water Trail Partnership develops and maintains the Ocmulgee Water Trail, which runs the length of the river from the outflow of Lake Jackson to its confluence with the Oconee, where the Altamaha begins. Expanded to more than 240 miles in 2018, it is the longest continuous water trail in Georgia. The partnership spans multiple Georgia counties and organizes paddling events and river access resources to draw paddlers and river enthusiasts to the corridor.
