The Occidental Arts and Ecology Center is an 80 acre research, demonstration and organizing center on Coleman Valley Road in Occidental, Sonoma County, California. It works to protect and restore biological and cultural diversity by helping communities design regenerative systems at local and regional scale, drawing on permaculture and ecological design, biointensive horticulture, conservation hydrology and restoration ecology. It runs courses, retreats and internships, operates a certified organic nursery of heirloom crops and native plants, and trains civic leaders and community organizers.
