OBI Land Trust

OBI Land Trust is an all-volunteer land trust working for the voluntary conservation and stewardship of undeveloped private land in Jefferson County, New York. It accepts conservation easements, legal agreements that permanently limit certain uses of a property while leaving it privately owned and transferable to heirs, and serves the towns of Brownville, Cape Vincent, Ellisburg, Henderson, Hounsfield, LeRay, Lyme and Pamelia along the Lake Ontario shoreline. Its protected lands total close to 800 acres and include rare alvar habitat, Indiana bat habitat, a 184-acre wildlife reserve, and 1,700 feet of undeveloped shoreline on Stoney Cove in Henderson Harbor.
