NYC Bird Alliance

NYC Bird Alliance works to protect wild birds and their habitat across New York City's five boroughs, strengthening urban biodiversity through science, community engagement, and policy advocacy. Its research programs monitor bird populations and threats, including Project Safe Flight collision monitoring and studies of waterbirds in New York Harbor, and it advocates for habitat protection and measures like Lights Out legislation. The organization also runs more than 300 education programs a year, from bird outings and lectures to volunteer opportunities.
