Nurture Natives

Nurture Natives is a youth-led nonprofit based in Southern Maryland that works to expand native biodiversity by distributing native seedlings, trees and shrubs and by helping communities remove invasive plants. It publishes a guide to invasive species and native alternatives that reaches nurseries in seven East Coast states and Washington, D.C., and runs education and outreach programs for young people. It also works on state policy, including Maryland legislation prohibiting the Callery pear.
