Northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network

The Northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network is a Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area founded in 2005 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2022, working as a network of nearly 60 partner organizations. Its mission is to protect, enhance and promote northwest Michigan's natural communities through terrestrial invasive plant management and outreach. It treats invasive populations on public and private land, runs volunteer workbees, and operates the Go Beyond Beauty program to curb sales of harmful ornamental plants across Benzie, Grand Traverse, Leelanau and Manistee counties.
