Northwest Conservation District is a 501(c)(3) based in Torrington that serves 34 towns and cities across northwestern Connecticut under the theme "Conserving Land and Water Resources for the Future." It provides environmental reviews, soil and erosion assessments, wetlands and stormwater guidance, Low Impact Development support, and open space and agricultural conservation assistance. Education is a second track, including workshops, scholarships, the Envirothon competition, and native plant programs.
