Northern Prairies Land Trust works with private landowners in South Dakota and Nebraska to conserve and restore land for wildlife habitat, agriculture, water quality and cultural protection. Its main tool is the conservation easement, which lets owners keep title and continue working their property while permanently protecting its natural features, backed by a dedicated stewardship fund for long-term monitoring. In more than 20 years it reports conserving over 7,000 acres across the two states and raising more than $1.5 million.
