Northern Neck of Virginia Audubon Society

The Northern Neck of Virginia Audubon Society is a National Audubon Society chapter active since 1970 in Virginia's Northern Neck, the four counties between the Potomac and Rappahannock rivers, where proximity to the Chesapeake Bay and a mix of farmland, river bluffs, beachfront and marsh support over 250 bird species. The chapter runs monthly public programs and bird walks, organizes Christmas Bird Count participation, and helps with injured or orphaned bird rescue. It maintains trails and holds work days at nature areas including Bush Mill Stream, Dameron Marsh, Hickory Hollow and Hughlett Point Natural Area Preserves, Chilton Woods State Forest, Westmoreland State Park and George Washington Birthplace National Monument.
