The Northeastern Cave Conservancy is committed to the conservation, study, management and acquisition of caves and karst areas with significant geological, hydrological, biological, recreational, historical or aesthetic features. It owns and stewards twelve cave and karst preserves in New York and Connecticut, managing their natural resources for public access while facilitating research on its properties. Exploration, surveying and protection work is carried out largely by volunteers.
