Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust preserves land that protects the region's waters, landscapes, and natural habitats. Since 1996 it has protected more than 6,000 acres of forests, wetlands, and shorelines across 12 counties, serving Brown, Marinette, Marquette, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago counties plus portions of Calumet, Green Lake, Langlade and Menominee. It stewards public preserves including Wequiock Creek, Red Banks Alvar, Bayshore Preserve and Stroebe Island Marsh, and works with private landowners to protect their land.
