Northeast Wilderness Trust

Northeast Wilderness Trust conserves forever-wild landscapes for nature and people, protecting land that stays permanently governed by natural processes rather than human management. It has protected more than 116,000 acres across Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York, including over 16,000 acres of wetlands and 327 miles of rivers and streams. Its Wildlands Ecology program studies these lands as they recover toward old growth, alongside public programs such as guided nature journaling and a speaker series.
