North Dekalb Greenspace Alliance

The North DeKalb Greenspace Alliance conserves natural areas in the North DeKalb community of metro Atlanta, an area under rapid infill development and densification. It conserves land through outreach, restoration, and research, and advocates for passive greenspace that serves as a place of solitude, education, and community focus. Its main project is the roughly 30-acre Ashford Forest Preserve west of Clairmont Road, which holds old-growth forest, a meadow, springs, and wetlands.
