North Carolina Brook Trout Association

The North Carolina Brook Trout Association works to protect, restore, and sustain populations of native brook trout in the cold-water streams of the Southern Appalachian Mountains in western North Carolina. It raises funds for on-the-ground conservation and rehabilitation projects addressing habitat loss, warming waters, and fragmented populations, including work in hard-to-reach parts of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
