The Nine Mile Creek Conservation Council works to protect the watershed ecosystem of Nine Mile Creek, which runs through Marcellus and Camillus to Onondaga Lake near Syracuse, New York, from degradation and to support its recovery. It inventories the watershed's physical, biological and cultural conditions and maintains a preservation plan covering landscape conservation, development suitability and recreation. It also runs education programming, monitors the creek, stocks trout, and supports public access for birding, fishing and paddling.
