Newtown Creek Alliance Inc

The Newtown Creek Alliance is a community-based organization dedicated to restoring, revealing, and revitalizing Newtown Creek, the industrial waterway between Brooklyn and Queens. Its work spans ecological restoration of intertidal areas and greenspaces, a native plant nursery, and advocacy on combined sewer overflow, oil spills, and water quality. It also runs education programs, field trips, volunteer projects, and research fellowships across creekside neighborhoods including Greenpoint, Maspeth, and Long Island City.
