National Road Heritage Trail Inc

National Road Heritage Trail, Inc. is a volunteer 501(c)(3) launched in June 2004 to promote and facilitate a 160-mile multi-use, non-motorized trail across Indiana, running from the Illinois state line near Terre Haute to the Ohio state line near Richmond along former rail corridors and the Historic National Road. The site reports 91 miles preserved and 75 miles open. Local communities and counties build and maintain segments, with NRHT holding property, assets, and liability insurance.
