Nanticoke Conservation Club

The Nanticoke Conservation Club, chartered in 1951 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, is a club of hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts whose stated goal is to protect, preserve, and manage the area's wildlife and natural resources. Its conservation work includes spring and fall cleanups along the 11 miles of Harvey's Creek, a city-wide Earth Day cleanup, float-stocking trout, artificial nesting islands at state parks, and an American chestnut grove. The club also runs an ice fishing derby, a kids' trout fishing day, and a Susquehanna River bass tournament.
