Nahant Marsh Education Center

Nahant Marsh Education Center manages a 382-acre preserve in southwest Davenport, Iowa, part of a 513-acre wetland complex on the Upper Mississippi River. Its stated mission is to protect, enhance, and restore the marsh through education, research, and conservation. The center runs environmental programming for all ages, conducts year-round research including water quality testing and wildlife monitoring, and carries out habitat management on the preserve.
