N C Forestry Association

The North Carolina Forestry Association, founded in 1911, describes itself as the state's oldest forest conservation organization and works to ensure healthy, productive, and sustainable forests. It represents roughly 4,000 members — forest managers, landowners, manufacturers, loggers, educators, and students — before the North Carolina General Assembly, state regulatory agencies, and Congress. Its programs include advocacy, professional training such as the ProLogger certification, and forestry education including Project Learning Tree and scholarships.
