Missiquoi River Basin Association Inc

The Missisquoi River Basin Association, based in East Berkshire, Vermont, formed in 1994 when local citizens organized to restore the Missisquoi River. It works across the 855-square-mile basin to restore and protect the river, its tributaries, and Missisquoi Bay through volunteer water quality monitoring, riparian tree planting, invasive species removal including Japanese knotweed, waterway cleanups, and community education. The group has planted more than 22,000 trees to create streambank buffers and habitat.
