Millers River Watershed Council Inc

Working since 1970 to protect the health of the Millers River and its watershed for its human and non-human residents, from an environmental center in Athol, Massachusetts. Volunteers run bacteria sampling, benthic macroinvertebrate surveys and acid rain monitoring, and the council develops Blue Trail paddling and Green Trail hiking access across towns including Gardner, Winchendon, Orange, Erving and Royalston. It also takes advocacy positions on local permitting matters.
