Michigan Audubon Society

Michigan Audubon connects birds and people for the benefit of both through conservation, education, and research in Michigan. Organized in 1904 and incorporated in 1905, it describes itself as the state's oldest conservation organization, maintaining a network of bird sanctuaries from Jackson County to the Keweenaw Peninsula plus the Whitefish Point Bird Observatory migration monitoring station. Programs include Bird City Michigan, community science, bird-window collision work, Chimney Swift and Purple Martin conservation, and the Michigan Young Birders Camp.
