Mclean Game Refuge Inc

McLean Game Refuge is a 4,415-acre wildlife sanctuary spanning Granby, Simsbury and Canton, Connecticut, established in 1932 under the will of Senator George P. McLean on his former hunting lands. It preserves cold-water streams, trap rock ridges, meadows and forests holding more than 60 tree species, providing habitat for over 100 bird species. The refuge maintains more than 20 miles of forest roads and trails for passive recreation, and runs research, conservation projects and a Forest Ranger Program.
