Massachusetts Forest Trust

The Massachusetts Forest Trust is the 501(c)(3) affiliate of the Massachusetts Forest Alliance, founded in 1970 as the Massachusetts Land League to encourage forest landowners to care for their woodlands. It supports the Alliance's educational and outreach activities while operating with its own board and bylaws, and as a land trust it accepts donated woodland properties and conservation restrictions, favoring protection of working forests. It has directly protected more than 1,000 acres and collaborated on the protection of roughly 2,100 additional acres.
