Manhattan Land Trust

Manhattan Land Trust is a nonprofit founded by gardeners that owns and stewards community gardens across Manhattan, under the tagline "Growing gardens, empowering communities." It holds roughly 14 gardens in neighborhoods including the East Village, East Harlem and the Lower East Side, among them Albert's Garden, Carver Community Garden, La Perla Garden and Papo's Garden. The trust mobilizes neighborhoods and helps gardeners build the leadership skills to manage their gardens and shape their communities.
