Mangrove Action Project

Mangrove Action Project is a Seattle-based nonprofit founded in 1992 that works to conserve and restore mangrove forests worldwide. It delivers science-based, community-engaged restoration training through its Community-Based Ecological Mangrove Restoration method, arguing that most planting projects fail without local engagement and scientific rigor. It has trained over 1,000 participants across more than 30 countries, and runs education and consumer-awareness work such as its shrimp-farming campaign.
