Maji Wells is a Minnesota-based nonprofit working to end the water crisis in remote villages of developing countries, with a focus on Maasai communities in Tanzania. It aims to bring clean water to more than 20,000 people in communities where women currently walk over 18 miles a day and spend nine or more hours fetching unsafe water. Its work spans well and water projects, rainwater harvesting, health initiatives delivered through a community health worker model with local partners and clinics, and climate projects, framed around sustainable health, agriculture and women's empowerment.
