Maine Sfi Implementation Committee Inc

The Maine SFI Implementation Committee is a 501(c)(3) that promotes the Sustainable Forestry Initiative standard across roughly 7.8 million acres of certified forestland in Maine. Its members include landowners, loggers, mills, foresters, state agencies, conservation groups and researchers, and it runs professional training, outreach and education so certified landowners and mills can meet the standard. Programs include Partners With The Forest, Forests of Exceptional Conservation Value, resources for small woodlot owners, and Maine's Fisheries Improvement Network, a partnership begun in 2013 to restore stream connectivity and fish habitat on forestland.
