Maine Mountain Collaborative

The Maine Mountain Collaborative is a regional conservation partnership of eleven land conservation and forestry organizations, including the Appalachian Mountain Club, Forest Society of Maine, Maine Audubon, Northeast Wilderness Trust, The Conservation Fund, and The Trust for Public Land. It works to draw attention to the national ecological significance of the Maine Appalachian Corridor and to identify and conserve critical parcels, covering both well-managed working forests and ecological reserves, so the landscape stays connected and resilient as the climate changes. It was founded in 2014 and administers an Appalachian Mountain Corridor Conservation Fund that makes grants toward those transactions.
