Maine Farmland Trust

Maine Farmland Trust works to grow a robust future for farming in Maine by protecting the state's finite farmland, supporting farmers to keep land in production, and advocating for the conditions farms and farmers need to thrive. Its work spans three areas: farmland protection and improving affordable farmland access, farmer support through a Farm Network serving over 500 farms with business and resilience resources, and policy and advocacy through grassroots organizing and research. Founded in 1999, the organization is based in Belfast and works statewide.
