Mahoosuc Land Trust

Mahoosuc Land Trust conserves land in the Mahoosuc region of western Maine, which it describes as a globally significant forest ecosystem, focusing on the Crooked River watershed, the Upper Androscoggin River valley, the Rumford Whitecap Mountain and Ellis River area, and the Upper Bear River and Sunday River valleys. It protects wildlife habitat and forest at a landscape scale, while its Habitat For All program shows how backyards and gardens can serve as refuges for pollinators and birds. Its conserved lands stay open to the public with trails and boat launches for hiking, biking, paddling, skiing, and hunting.
