Lower East Side Ecology Center

The Lower East Side Ecology Center, which brands itself as the LES Ecology Center, has developed community-based models in urban sustainability in New York City since 1987. It runs composting and recycling services, environmental stewardship opportunities, and educational programming with the aim of an equitable, resilient, and sustainable city. It operates out of Seward Park near Essex and Canal Street in Manhattan.
