Los Angeles Waterkeeper

Los Angeles Waterkeeper is a Los Angeles nonprofit that works to protect the region's rivers, beaches, and ocean through science, law, and advocacy, and says it has spent more than 30 years changing how Los Angeles protects its water. Its programs cover a climate-resilient local water supply, pollution prevention and holding polluters accountable, and greener communities and waterways through urban trees, parks, and green infrastructure. It reports a 90 percent reduction in spills since 2000 and nearly 40 million dollars reinvested in pollution-impacted communities.
