Lord Berkeley Conservation Trust

Lord Berkeley Conservation Trust works to conserve the natural environment, cultural and historical sites, and productive lands that anchor its community's sense of place in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Since 1992 it has permanently protected more than 49,000 acres, including over 40 miles of river frontage, through conservation easements and land acquisition. Its work is organized around seven project areas in and around Berkeley County, among them Old Santee Canal, Fort Fair Lawn, Mulberry and Big Cypress.
