Lookout Mountain Conservancy is a land trust whose work unites Alton Park, St. Elmo and Lookout Mountain across Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia. It organizes around advocacy, conservation and recreation, and reports preserving 1,500 acres of protected land, 36 miles of public-use trails and 119 acres of parks, including the nation's largest natural urban boulder park. Much of that land is stewarded by leadership interns from The Howard School in Chattanooga.
