The Lobster Lake Association is a lakeshore owners group formed in 1985 for Lobster Lake in Douglas County, Minnesota, spanning Moe and LaGrand townships. Volunteers record weekly Secchi disk readings, water levels, and ice-out dates, run monthly surveys for Eurasian water milfoil and curly leaf pondweed, and send stream samples for analysis, with the data going to the MPCA and local agencies to track long term water quality trends. The association also maintains a designated walleye stocking fund that supplements DNR stocking and supports eleven floating loon nesting platforms placed around the lake.
