Lloyd Center For The Environment Inc

The Lloyd Center for the Environment is a nature center and research organization in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, overlooking the Slocum River estuary. Its stated purpose is to instill a life-long respect and affection for nature in people of all ages through research and education, and it reaches roughly 10,000 students a year through coastal field studies, in-school programming, and its Young Naturalist summer program, including scholarship spaces for students from New Bedford. Research work includes a Biodiversity Initiative, piping plover monitoring, winter waterfowl studies, and SEANET, and the property's walking trails are free and open dawn to dusk year round.
