The Little Traverse Lake Association works to protect Little Traverse Lake, a 640-acre lake in Cleveland Township in northern Leelanau County, Michigan. Its work covers invasive species, water quality, shoreline and greenbelt management, septics and wells, and lake levels, including research into fluctuating and high water levels that have damaged property. It bought boat cleaning station accessories for the township public access point to keep Eurasian watermilfoil out of the lake, and it also tracks planning for the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail.
