Little Kanawha Resource Conservation & Development Project

The Little Kanawha Resource Conservation and Development Council is based in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and is dedicated to conserving and developing natural resources in ways that improve the area's economy and environment. It serves Calhoun, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wetzel, Wirt, and Wood counties, and its board draws from county commissioners, conservation district representatives, and community members. Its programs include mini-grants for land conservation and water management projects, low-interest loans for natural resource based businesses, and Project Sharing, which distributes household items and building supplies to nonprofits and charities serving the region.
