Litchfield Land Trust, Inc.

Established in 1968 as one of Connecticut's earliest land trusts, the Litchfield Land Trust is a member-supported nonprofit dedicated to protecting the scenic vistas, natural resources, and New England character of Litchfield. It owns 1,546 acres across more than 150 parcels, including the 404-acre Prospect Mountain Preserve, and holds conservation easements on another 2,589 acres, for a total of 4,135 acres protected. Its office is at 28 Russell Street in Litchfield, a shared hub for several local conservation and community organizations.
