Lighthawk

LightHawk, founded in 1979, accelerates conservation by putting partners in small aircraft to gain a landscape scale perspective on environmental issues. A network of volunteer pilots donates aircraft and flight time for aerial surveys, documentation, and the transport of endangered species for breeding and reintroduction programs, with flights provided to partner organizations at no cost. In 2025 the organization completed 237 conservation flights totaling over 800 donated flight hours across 98 program partners.
