Light For The Amazon Incorporated

Light for the Amazon is a 501(c)(3) registered in New York, also registered in Peru as an Asociacion Civil Sin Fines de Lucro, working in Santa Maria de Ojeal, a community along the Amazon River in the Loreto region of Peru. It runs education programs with local schools that promote ecological knowledge, biodiversity awareness, and sustainable forest practices, and collaborates with Indigenous plant medicine experts to preserve traditional healing knowledge. Its premise is that lasting conservation comes from supporting sustainable relationships between local communities and the forest they depend on.
