Leon Trees

Leon Trees is a Tallahassee grassroots coalition of citizens and organizations dedicated to protecting and improving the community by celebrating, educating, planting and conserving the urban forest. It maintains a public database of specimen and historical trees, including the region's canopy roads, preserving measurements, photographs and oral histories contributed by volunteers. It also encourages planting of tree species native to the coastal plain, runs the Leon Fruit and Nut Exchange gleaning registry, and acts as a clearinghouse for existing community and government tree programs in Leon County.
